Since its inception in 1955, Marz Homes has established itself as one of the top homebuilders in southern Ontario. To say that Marz Homes builds communities is an obvious reference to the company’s brick and mortar applications. But it means much more.
Marz is dedicated to building communities where residents can lead healthy, active lives. To that end, Marz has partnered with numerous charitable organizations to raise money and awareness for a variety of causes.
Marz’s main community partner has been the Canadian Cancer Society (CCS). Marz has served as the title sponsor for the Canadian Cancer Society's Golf for a Cure tournament for several years. Offering cash prizes and even a home to anyone who could sink a hole in one, the tournament has been a sell out for each year that Marz has been involved. Marz also sponsors the Canadian Cancer Society’s Great Ride ‘N’ Stride, which raises awareness and funds for cancer research. Marz’s involvement with these events has to date helped to raise more than $100,000 for cancer-related research and programming.
"We live and work in the Hamilton community, so at the heart of it all is the promotion of an event that goes toward such a good cause," says Danny Gabriele, Vice President of Marz Homes. "We were very successful in raising funds for the Canadian Cancer Society in Hamilton/Wentworth, and we're just so proud to be a part of that – to make a difference in our community in any way we can."
